Know where to watch and read
The form is one half. Watching the races, the replays and the stewards' reports is the other. These are official or licensed sources. Some need a free account, and some streams need a funded betting account in your country.
Britain and Ireland
- At The Races: free replays of British and Irish races, plus cards.
- Racing TV and Sky Sports Racing: live racing (subscription, or through a bookmaker account).
- Racing Post and Sporting Life: cards, results and news.
- British Horseracing Authority: going, non-runners and stewards' reports for Britain.
- Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board: stewards' reports for Ireland. Go Racing has the Irish fixtures.
Australia
- Racing.com: replays, form, barrier trials and stewards' reports for Victoria.
- Racenet: replays from every state, and barrier trials.
- Racing Australia: free fields and results for every state, with starting prices.
- Racing NSW: stewards' reports and replays for New South Wales.
Hong Kong
- Hong Kong Jockey Club: racecards, results, replays, sectional times, barrier trials, stewards' reports and veterinary records, all free.
France, Germany, Dubai, Japan
- France Galop: replays of every French race with a free account. Equidia is the French racing channel.
- Deutscher Galopp: calendar, results and going reports. In German; let your browser translate.
- Emirates Racing Authority: cards, results and replays for Meydan and the other UAE tracks.
- Japan Racing Association: results, big-race replays and course maps in English.
Scandinavia
- Svensk Galopp, Øvrevoll and Dansk Galop. Live pictures come through ATG and Rikstoto.
A simple routine
- Read the card here.
- Watch the replays of the runs that matter, on the official site for that country.
- Check the stewards' report when a run looks odd.
- Add what you find to your Black Book.
